Our Paper Works exhibition presents the work of three artists who are passionate about paper. Photographer Antoine Gaussin traveled to the marble quarries of Carrara and the Saudi desert to capture the power of the natural elements against the ephemeral human condition. Printed on watercolour paper, the softness of his shots is almost supernatural. Lídia Masllorens continues to present her portraits painted in black acrylic on huge sheets of paper, the latter being very thick so as to collect the paint and leave the artist free to remove it in places, in order to bring out the faces and their striking gaze. Finally, Juan Escudero's fine etchings of superimposed lines are transposed onto paper with uneven edges, as if to underline the precision of his work.
